Happy Lunar New Year! :)

I’m a little late with this but Happy CNY! 🙂

So… yes I know you might be thinking. “WHAT YOU’RE CHINESE? I THOUGHT YOU WERE JAPANESE WTF” and yes, yes I am. Both LOL Unless I’ve made that clear in a previous post, in which I do not remember.

Soo for Chinese New Year, I went out to eat with the family (extended fam) and saw my cousins who I haven’t see in quite awhile 🙂

The day after CNY, Petite Bonbon (what I will refer to her as for now) gave me a ….CHOCOLATE EGG!! YAAHHHHH!

Geolica Lady Series: Light Brown Contacts Review

Today I’m going to be writing a little review about a new colour contact lens that I believe, just came out! Yes, I am talking about the GEOLICA Lady Series! 🙂

According to the site, this series

“offers astoundingly vivid colors that accentuates and brightens the eye. These 3-tone lenses are recommended for darker irises and for those desiring a look that stands out”.

These lenses have been approved by Health Canada and are being distributed by GEO Medical Canada. I was asked to do a little review on them, and I’m glad I was able to try them!

For reviewing purposes I was given the GS – A14 (Light Brown) to try out!

^The packaging was very pretty, it came in a pink box. (My sister and I at first both assumed they were pink contacts and got so excited! haha We’ve always wanted to try pink contacts 🙂 ) But anywho, the packaging is very aesthetically pleasing and excitable.

Diameter: 14.2mm
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Water Content: 42%
Material: Polymacon
Lifespan: About 3 months according to the box, a year according to the pamphlet

My personal thoughts on this product: 

Let me just say, the comfort level is GREAT! To be completely honest, I thought I would never be able to be a gyaru because I couldn’t conform to the lens trend, due to the discomfort I experience from contact lenses in my eyes. By far, this pair was probably the most comfortable I’ve tried, and I could actually go through an entire day at school without being extremely irritated at the product lingering in my eye. Yes, I needed to use eyedrops about once, but trust me, if I can go with them for a day without complaining, their comfort level is quite high.

Another thing I found as a pro, was that they were really easy to put in. I’m not sure about other people, but I usually have to try a few times before I get the contacts into my eyes. With these ones, they seem to just slip onto my eye the first time which really saves me a lot of trouble and time in the mornings!

They also did a great job of enlarging my small eyes. I think when I wear these lenses, my eyes get quite bigger, if you compare these pictures to pictures of me without contacts/makeup on.

I can’t really say that they were that natural though; but they did have a very nice colour. If one wants something natural, I’m guessing something along the lines of the Freshlook Series is somewhere more to look to. This pair of lenses gave a nice colour, (it wasn’t too heavily pigmented that it didn’t allow light into my eyes) and I really do like them.

Although they may be a little more expensive than other brands of lenses, the comfort level makes it perfectly understandable and I would definitely purchase these in a different colour again! 🙂

FamJam time at the Falls

When I said Falls, I meant Niagara Falls 🙂

So basically for a night (2 days) my family and I decided to venture to Niagara Falls and stay at the Embassy Suites 🙂 We stay there at least once a year, and it’s quite an experience. Soo anyway, the sad thing was before we left for Niagara Falls, Mr. Leo and I had a fight wtf.

I was all like

But I was quite chipper for most of the trip because

a) If I wasn’t, my mother would flip out on me

b) My family tends to be hilariously good at taking my mind off matters. (Ex/ My daddy says the funniest things. My sister wore her pj sweats to the roots outlet store, my dad took one look at her and started walking far away from her, and as he entered a different store he yelled out, “Lisa you’re an embarrassment to the Ng Society!” LOL it’s really funny the way my Daddy says things XD )

Doesn’t mean I wasn’t thinking about him though.

So anywho, I took Junior (got from Mr. Leo, because apparently it reminds him of when I’m all happy and trolling XD) to Niagara with me 🙂 (and yes, I have fallen victim to taking pics with my itouch and using instagram on it! Shhh! XD)

Yes, I had my forehead out this day. I know, I know I have a HUGE forehead, but it can’t be helped 😦 working on getting rid of acne. Anyway, so me and Junior were huddling the entire trip 🙂

^The ceiling of the hotel lobby 🙂 I thought it was really pretty so I snapped a shot! Aesthetics in a hotel are extremely important you know!!

^Just wanted to emphasize how pretty the lobby is. The entire hotel is extremely neat and spiffy just like the lobby! This hotel never fails to impress me at how well it presents itself.

So….before going to the hotel, we went to some outlets to shop! I was trying to find stuff, but honestly I couldn’t find much. Bought a top at Garage though, that I might post pics of if I wear it LOL Here’s me posing with the Garage bag…

So…the hotel also offers free drinks !!! …. Yes I had some to drink

My Dad initially got it for my Mom, but she was like, “mehh” and I downed the entire thing… I know, I know…

^It was like Strawberry flavoured 😀 It tasted mad good to me!… unfortunately…

^It got me red (.__.) It’s not as if I was drunk or anything, don’t get me wrong. But I was already red (T__T) Just like my parents, apparently I am not strong when it comes to alcohol…

Mother even chastised me because I seemed “drunk” (….I was actually perfectly fine. Just felt nice and warm inside)

Anyway, then we ate at the KEG  (again, for pictures of the food there, click the above link to my Japanese blog entry) It was mad delicious, but I swear I’ve gained mad weight…

That night, I spent a lot of time texting friends (I don’t quite remember why, but I was talking stuff with them, qqing and just ranting LOL…while my Daddy was beside me watching a program on tv about hoarders…) My sisters and mother were in the other room watching some next movie together (which my Daddy and I were like indifferent to, so we didn’t join them).

The next morning we woke up at like 7!! To eat breakfast 🙂 I was going to put on makeup… but got lazy. So, I just put on clothes and we went to eat breakfast 🙂 Ate a nice omlette and some other stuff, delicious. I love french toast.

THEN WE LEFT FOR BUFFALO! SHOPPING DAY~

^So…in the mall we were at, there was this RANDOM POLE and you know what?…It said “Welcome” in all these different languages… EXCEPT JAPANESE. #rage

Yeah, reader is probably hating all these memes I’m using 😦 But I can’t help it!…. ’cause you see…

I Remember 2011 like it was just Yesterday…

HAHA! please don’t kill me for the overused title. #9gagthings

So..how did YOU spend New Years/the last day of 2011? Guess what? I actually went out on New Years… ! *le gasp*

Mr. Leo and I were gonna go downtown for New Years….but le parentals did not allow me… (-.-) I believe it was on account of it being much too dangerous…. or something. Even though I asked befo..anyway. Let’s not dwell on that XD

So, instead of hitting downtown Toronto, Canada, we decided to just chill and spend New Years together 🙂

As you may or may not know, I recently suffered from an allergic reaction to Benzaclin, (an acne medication containing benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin) which basically made me red and swelled up for the past week or so…as a result I felt mad ugly this entire period -.- Like it’s literally so sad and like…lizard skin 😦 And since makeup would probably irritate my skin even more, I was barefaced for new years too (actually, I was going to wear makeup but bf advised against it, ’cause he doesn’t like makeup). Then I tried to camwhore barefaced, which left me feeling like this:

So…my bad on not being able to go Downtown 😦 So instead we decided to sleep most of the day LOL. I mean, yes we were looking forward to just going down the GTA together, but in a sense it’s more like..”it doesn’t quite matter what you do or where you do it…what matters the most of who you’re with”. So maybe it wasn’t that eventful, but it was one of the highlights of my year 🙂

I got an itouch awhile back with the front and back camera feature, so I figured I’d start putting it to good use this year! 🙂 Mr. Leo and I decided we’d take at least 2 pics a day for memories. He told me not to post these, I’m gonna post some of them anyway 🙂 What better way to note down memories than blogging them?? 🙂

So at about 7:30PM we decided to get something to eat ’cause we got hungry :3

^Me: Lets Kamhore!! Mr.Leo: …ok. Me: *snaps one* Mr. Leo: wait wtf…I don’t even look ready, in a beater -.-

^Mr. Leo: Okay, ready now. All he did was put on his necklace and a shirt ontop of his beater LOL. Me: dammit I wish I wore makeup…

And so we went to eat.

^I got 🙂 Singapore style yes?!?! One of my favourite even though it’s mad oily and curry included…. But I got full real fast ’cause I stole so much of his -.- Also too spicy for me to eat everything =(

Then headed over to FMP 🙂 There was some Asian countdown thing going on there LOL. We we’re kinda bored that night though, since there’s nothing to do #markhamproblems (yeah, I know it’s not twitter…I don’t care LOL)

So while we we’re walking around FMP, we entered a mad-cute store Smart Maple 🙂 Here’s a random convo we had:

New Years resolutions you ask? Why yes. Yes I have many. Here’s my list (so far). Rather than resolutions, perhaps it is more along the fine lines of not quite being a bucket-list, but close:

1) Lost at least 10 pounds. I can do this, I am most confident I can accomplish this task.

2) Rid myself of my chronic acne -.- I’m serious, I actually hate it so much and it bothers me! Also because I discovered, without acne, and if I am wearing makeup, my big forehead isn’t really that bad.

3) Learn more Chinese

4) Learn to cook

5) Blog way more often

6) Be the most amazing person I can be towards those I love.

That’s about it for new years! 😀 I hope 2012 is an amazing year for everybody. Let’s make amazing memories. Let’s all smile, it’s a new year!

In case you didn’t understand what I meant in the title, I meant to say that I am an absolute cam-whore LOL

I love to take pics of myself, not because I am a vain little priss (although I do love camwhoring the most when I know I look good) but because I like MAKING myself look pretty in pictures. And let’s be honest here, who doesn’t? If you say you don’t, please. DON’T LIE TO ME. Do NOT lie to my FAAAACE. Like seriously, I hate when somebody doesn’t admit they look good in a pic when they post it somewhere.

Okay. So basically this post will be picture filled, so if you don’t mind that, I welcome you into my world 🙂 if you do? You are free to leave. Or troll me, but I don’t recommend that.

I feel like making my readers HUNGRY

Hi guys 🙂

So I was looking through my camera pics, and realized something:

I didn’t really post that many Japan Food pictures. NOW THAT’S A SHAME. And so I decided to dedicate an entire post to the food I had in Japan, because it’s just so damn amazing.

Like, no word of lie when I get back from Japan I lose some weight because I stop eating. Why? It takes me awhile to get used to the food here again (even the convenience store food is 100x better than the food here, no offense).

So let the food picture rampage begin! 😀

^That is the beautiful Gindako Takoyaki. I miss it 😦 It’s do damn amazing. (Octopus Balls. Like, there are pieces of octopus in these balls of like… batter. It’s delicious okay)

^This is obviously an inferior hamburger to the one from Meat Yazawa (read more about it here, it will make you drool I promise) https://chocolatenyanko.wordpress.com/2011/07/21/meat-yazawa-is-delicious/  However, it was delicious nonetheless and a fraction of the price. I can’t quite remember where, but I know it is a small store in Shinjuku and basically it was 5 bucks (which is super cheap for a lunch in tokyo). It came with this cheese/sauce covered hamburger, bean sprouts and rice 🙂 Tasty.

^Yes ladies and gentleman, that is indeed a watermelon. Shaped in a triangular form. LOL I love it too, I just had to snap a shot.

^You may be asking yourself dear reader, “what the hell is in her mouth?” well, that my friends is called a tamago ice cream. (egg ice cream, but only ’cause it’s shaped like an egg). However, my mother just calls it a boob ice cream LOL because you have to suck it like… okay nevermind lets move on.

^Cutest bear ever from Mister Donuts 🙂 It’s so amazingly delicious too.. man I really want to move to Japan again.

^Oh….uhm…awkward. This is food my sister and I put together when we stayed over at my grandfather’s house LOL. Okay sorry if that killed your appetite FOL we tried our best :’)

^This is from a restaurant inside Shinagawa Prince Hotel 🙂 I actually love this place to bits because it’s just so amazing and the meat is so delicious it melts in your mouth. And plus you get as much refill of cabbage as you want (perfect for me, the human rabbit).

^Gyoza! 🙂 I actually love this. My grandmother took us to this random place she found in Togoshi Ginza where she does her cheapass grocery shopping. My grandmother is a… G 🙂  No. Like…actually (._.) Nobody wants to mess with her. Actually. LOL Anyway, the Gyoza is amazing, cheap and just tastes like heaven.

^Okay guys, TRY AND TELL ME this isn’t cute. TRY. This is why I want to move to Japan, the land of cutest things. Okay so anyway, the Japanese call “Baskin Robins” “Thirty one”. Actually. And their flavours are…. *superior* in ways I can’t explain (.___.) nghhhhhhh. * frustration at own country max*

I can’t remember what this was called. I think Sparkling champagne or Popping something. It basically pops in your mouth and makes you have like a mouth orgasm or something 😛

^You may be wondering little pumpkins, what is this? Let me tell you. It is the creation of some beautiful party in your mouth with classy aftertaste that my grandfather bought for us in the hotel bakery where we always meet him. My grandfather, I will have you know has the most refined taste buds a man can have. Me on the other hand… I love convenience store cream puffs just the same. FML I need to be more high maintenance don’t I? Men love expensive high maintenance chicks -.-

^DAMN RIGHT I DRINK BEER LIKE A HARDCORE OLD JAPANESE SALARY MAN #YEYE ignore the fact please, that it is non-alcoholic beer, and it wasn’t even mine, it was my grandfathers. 

^that my friends is Katsudon. Need I explain? It’s delicious.

^Uhm….to be honest I can’t remember quite what this was. I ordered it though, and it was the healthiest option and it tasted good.

I contemplated what to blog about when it comes to you. I don’t know. I don’t want to be overly cheesey and pour my entire heart out. Although…it would make sense to, considering this is a blog. hmmm….

I’ll start with horoscopes, since you tend to love them so much.

LEO – The Lion
Great talker (Haha, I guess you are. But you don’t talk alot in class…). Attractive and passionate(Attractive yes. Passionate? I think so?). Laid back(Oh boyyy. Laid back is amazing, but sometimes I wish this wasn’t SO true LOL). Usually happy but when unhappy tend to be grouchy and childish(Kind of actually…haha. But it’s all good: you put up with my childishness 24/7, and I kind of like it when your childish. It’s cute 🙂. A Leo’s problem becomes everyone’s problem(Yeah…when you talk about a problem, I’m all like D: too). Most Leos are very predictable and tend to be monotonous(idk what monotonous is, but you are kind of predictable 🙂 “u goin to sleep?” “omg how d fuck did u know?” LOOL). Knows how to have fun(I do always have fun with you..) Is really good at almost anything(uhm…I’m agreeing with this because I presume whoever wrote this is a Leo him/herself, and I see the cockyness LOL). Great kisser(Thats for me to know :D).  Loves being in long relationships(hope so 🙂. Rare to find. Good when found.(I think I’ve found mine :)….)

Spontaneous. High appeal. Rare to find. Great when found.. Loves being in long relationships. So much love to give. A loner most of the time(LOLOLOL MY LONER HABITS! HOW DID U KNOWW?). Loses patience easily and will not take crap. If in a bad mood stay FAR away. Gets offended easily and remembers the offense forever(uhmm..is this implying that I’m sensitive? ’cause I’m sooo not!). Loves deeply but at times will not show it, feels it is a sign of weakness. Has many fears but will not show it. VERY private person. Defends loved ones with all their abilities. Can be childish often. Not one to mess with. Very pretty. Very romantic. Nice to everyone they meet. Their Love is one of a kind. Silly, fun and sweet. Have own unique appeal. Maybe thats why most people think you’re good for me haha. Honestly, I had no control over falling for you. (and cue here, I can hear you say something like, “what can I say? I’m soo good lookin” or something like that looool!)

Sometimes you drive me crazy, (you know exactly when LOL) but at the same time, I really think… you’re everything I’ve always wanted. And, it’s so hard for me to ever say it though, because you know: it makes me feel vulnerable. So I can never really say it out loud; I can’t even believe I’m blogging it. But I really care about you. A lot. And I hope that you care about me the same way.

Because I’m not sure since when it happened, but all of a sudden all these love songs? They became about you. You became the first thing I think about when I wake up and the last thing on my mind while I fall asleep. And as cheesy as this is going to sound, hear me out: all of a sudden, I don’t want to fall asleep at night, because I would rather be talking to you all night long. I honestly can’t think about sleeping without you on the phone with me anymore; it’s not even that we talk all night. One of us is usually asleep, but it’s just hearing you breathe on the other end, just your presence is something I’ve grown accustomed to,  and I can’t imagine sleeping without you anymore.

I guess you could say I do think about you a lot, a lot of things remind me of you, and you’re really important to me. You make life seem like a fairytale, and I don’t think I’ll ever not want you. And yes, I can be the biggest emotional wreck ever, and I apologize in advance. I’m working on it though. I am.

I know you don’t like reading paragraphs and life stories LOL. But then again, this is about you so you might not mind reading it. I don’t know. Hope you read through it though, and hope it makes you smile.

So…if you aren’t interested in pretty clothes or me, feel free to close the tab because you will be extremely bored with this post LOL.

So, basically, I’ve decided that instead of being sensible and finishing some homework this Friday night, I would do some online window shopping. One day my dears, I will have enough money to afford all these wonderful luxuries (all before I hit 25 of course) and be very happy. Until then, I will oogle at these beautiful pieces of glory through the screen of my laptop. :’)

Obviously that isn’t me -.- but yeah I took it off their site 🙂 IS THIS NOT THE CUTEST PONCHO EVER?? This on the Liz Lisa site is 12,390 Yen (about 130 bucks Canadian dollar). I’m sorry if I sound cheap, but I can not afford that :(. And so, being me, I tried to look online for a rep of this. I actually found one very similar on http://www.minimaos.com/ which looked like this:

Quite similar right? This one was at about $50 USD, and I was actually about to purchase it. Then I realized, this is an asian site, and so the shipping rates must be super high for Canada 😦 I then checked; Canada isn’t even on the list (you have to request it) and shipping to the US is like $28USD…. So I therefore conclude, if I was to get a rep for like…$80(50+shipping) I might as well get the real thing. Which of course I can’t. And so I’ve decided I’ll just move on.

Okay, so I  actually saw this like…2 years ago I think on this site, and always wanted it but never felt I could pull this off :x. Now I want ittttt! It’s like $5 USD, but with shipping its a bit more. (They inflate their shipping A LOT to compensate for their low prices).  I’m thinking of maybe getting it…but then again, when would I ever wear it? When I go bar hopping in Tokyo next summer? LOL

Knitted Cream Colored Poncho!

Okay, so after my obsession with the floral poncho, I decided to creep wholesale7 for a poncho in general. I didn’t get any “poncho” results, but did find this, very cute top! I love it in the cream color but apparently it comes in pink and black as well. This looks perfectly warm for the cold winters, so I’m actually considering buying this. I mean, I can actually afford this one too LOL. It’s about $9USD + shipping (which would probably be about $10 extra). The only thing is, I really have no idea how the quality is… orz

Okay. Again, I probably won’t get either because of the “quality” issue, but then again I might, just to camwhore with it. I fell in love with these dresses on the site, and just couldn’t decide: pink or black? Pink might look more innocent and kawaii, whereas black might give me that air of mystique and sexyness I lack. Hmmmm…. *ponders*. Both are like $9 USD (+ shipping, about an extra $10?). Should I get one? Which one? mroww.

Okay. That’s about it for now. Not about to get greedy. I actually only want the ponchos right now. And the dress. Okay whatever, I’ll get those and continue saving money 🙂 I wanna shop till I drop when I’m in Japan next summer! Also, maybe if we go to HK or Malaysia, I can shop there tooooo! 😀 Very excited (^_^)’

The rest of my Japan trip in a nutshell…

As you probably have noticed, I’ve been pretty busy lately so no time to update 😦

My Japan posts are horribly overdue, and I’ve realized I will never finish all of them if I do them separately. Thus, here I am finished my homework deciding to blog in what seems like forever.

This will be the final Japan post for this year (about my trip there) and I will try to wrap it up nicely 🙂 Again, this is a picture-based blogpost since it’s about my trip… 🙂 Enjoyy!

^Try and tell me you aren’t jelly!…This hotel room was amazing! Right near the Osaka Universal Studios too! (We didn’t bother to actually go in since we’ve been to the one in LA lol)

Hiroshima adventures

ok! So a very late post, but I promise you, only 2 people will bother reading it anyway. Why am I posting then you ask? Because. those two people mean the blogworld to me. awhhhhh. I’m so sweet 😀 (LOLJK)

ok. So, lets start off with some Hiroshima adventures 😀 Keep in mind my Japan posts (or any travel related posts I will ever make) will be VERY photo oriented!

^Oh look the train(idk how to say in english ok! so just say train) that’s gonna take us to Osaka (from Osaka we went to Hiroshima ok) is arriving! Let’s get in! 😀 I bet you’re damn excited. XD

^As you can see, I am very excited to get onto the train. I am also holding a frumpy bag, but that is besides the point.

^Yeah. that’s me and my sisters. Sitting in the beautiful ride. Yes, I’m the one sitting alone with the fat thighs. Shutup LOL #foreveralone

^Thats in Hiroshima! According to my mom, Hiroshima is known for their “oldstyle” rail..train thingys! I think that is the coolest thing! I mean look at that…level of intense cultural preservation. wtf.

^Look, my sister and I are oredi party animals … #lame

ok! I have like this super scary story that comes with this hotel room. It was soo nice and the window had a beautiful view and we were all like, “YEAH! WE SCORED US A NAISE ROOM YEAHH!”　BUT THEN…. we saw blood. Literally, there was a puddle of dried up blood in the bathroom. And then a bloodtrain (dried up mind you) that led from the bathroom to the vanity mirror in the small room infront of the bathroom. Didn’t take a pic was too scared, but we all had a hard time sleeping that night because we were so scared D:

^Ok, so there were these legit tadpoles! no minnows or anything soft like that ok! Frog babies! swimming in there, and we were all like staring down there for a good 10 minutes.

^This is an important statue thing. No, I’m sorry I no remember the name…but we prayed there. Seriously, everywhere we went I was the one who prayed the longest !

^Heading towards the Genbaku Dome. Yeah, you can see it in the background. If I was a halfassed enough blogger I would photoshop my face skinnier, but I can’t be damned since you all probably already know how big it is LOL

^My mom took that shot. She thinks shes all artsy fartsy now…

^If you are ever in Hiroshima… GO HERE. It’s a beautiful place called “Okonomi Mura” and basically the entire building thing is a bunch of Okonomiyaki places! Hiroshima style!^^ Very tasty! I want to go there again, for sure!

^Yeah. Don’t tell me you won’t go there after you see this beautiful food pic! Seriously, I have tons more but that would be super repetitive and I’d lose the 2 blog followers I have. LOL
