What I actually am very excited for is the post-easter chocolate sales! Gonna get Mr. Leo to go with me so we can buy lots of chocolate, I can feel happy, eat a piece or two and then Mr. Leo can take care of the rest (even though he doesn’t love chocolate as much as I do….)

Soo…..over the march break the fam and I took some famjam time off, and went to Pittsburgh Pennsylvaniaas well as visited Buffalo!
^Me, wish Junior again! yes, I took Junior again haha. Was gonna miss my Bunny-boo, so took Junior!
^Crossing the bridge that takes us to the US border! …. Yes I took this from my seat haha! Mr. Leo was texting me the entire way, before we got to the borders. I lent him my computer so that he could play maple story… yes, my muffin plays maple story LOL He enjoys getting defamed….
^So, after we crossed we came across this little…. place that is a stop-by for many people on road trips. This happens to be a little stand inside the place, filled with coffee and coffee snacks.
^It was during the time of St. Patty’s day! They had this shamrock shake available at McDicks!! We all decided to order one and share it, to see how it tasted…..
^Well?!?! Doesn’t that look damn good!!!…. as well as mad fattening? -.- I mean would you look at the whipped cream at the top?? That alone looks like it could devastate a blood vessel…
How does it taste you ask? Well… GOOD. It’s this sweet, creamy substance that tastes like a frosty cream filling in your mouth. It is heavenly, but definitely not something one should order on their own…. we were a family of 5, and we barely finished it by the time everyone got full from taking mini sips….
So… in the hallway that led us from the parking lot to the eateries, there were a number of Easter decorations put up… although it was quite early for Easter but anywho….

HOTEL THINGS
We stayed at The Embassy Suites Pittsburgh International Airport hotel and were VERY impressed!! At only about $85.00 per night, we were able to stay at a place that offered beautifully serene scenery, as well as a complimentary breakfast buffet!
Here are some pictures (although, unfortunately, I was dumb, didn’t bring my camera… used itouch camera which did the hotel no justice…) of the beautiful hotel.

So, for dinner, we contemplated going a number of places, but eventually decided to dine in the hotel, at the restaurant/bar there. We weren’t expecting delicious + cheap food, and we were right, but nonetheless we were quite satisfied with our meal that night.

^ The appetizers! A Caesar salad, spinach salad, calamari and buffalo wings VERY delicious, and has made me fall in love with spinach ever since! Sweet spinach salad’s are the bomb!
^That rice. DAMN it was so healthy-delicious! and that steak! MMMM. Was on the special, about $17 for that plate. Found a hair on my asparagus though! To compensate, they gave us one free cake slice… (see bottom)
^ Didn’t want cake leh… but family was like, “WE ON VACATION” blah blah blah, so we ordered two cakes, one was an apple pie-type cake, the other was a cookie-dough-type cake. Both were very delicious, but heavy, can’t imagine eating one whole on my own!
The next morning, we ate at the complimentary breakfast buffet! All Embassy Suite hotels offer this, and I think it’s a great deal!

^omg!! I MUST share!! Okay, so there was this WAFFLE MAKING MACHINE!!! You can make your own waffles!! I was so excited, and the guy there to help you was so nice too! Wish they had whipped cream for the waffles though…

We went to “The Point” …. apparently it’s supposed to be mad beautiful but we didn’t see anything that beautiful… I think we missed it or something.

When we land in Toronto coming back from Japan in the nighttime, BOY is it beautiful because of all the lights! I don’t give a shit about “light pollution” activists and what not… It’s beautiful okay!
We also visited The Duquesne Incline, a historic landmark in Pittsburgh.
It is basically a little incline that takes you from the top to bottom or vice versa on this hill…

Okay, so today is more of a wordy little post about mostly men (and some annoying women) who claim, “confidence is sexy”. I fucking hate it when I hear a guy say that. It cheeses me more than cheese wiz (I hate that shit, it tastes like shit….poor excuse for cheese).
But why? you may ask. BECAUSE. Men’s desires are so damn bipolar, I just can’t keep up with it. Guys always talk about hot girls, perfect bodies, nice faces and whatnot, and still they expect us to be “confident” with who we are? Bullshit on toast, I say. I hate hate hate it! Because believe me, most men are assholes to a girl at some point in their lives (girls are bitches at some point too) and they’ve said condescending things towards girls before; commenting on physical appearances. People tend to do this stupid thing, where they group up, and “rate” girls, and whatnot. Trust me, I’ve been victim to the not-so-nice end of this rating spectrum. I’ve never gotten higher than a “5″ rating by guys…did this bother me? OF COURSE IT DID. You could even say it attributes to my lack of confidence, and that is exactly what I mean. All my life, I’ve lived with some kind of…. inferiority complex with my looks… is that my fault though? I don’t quite think so. In fact, it is the product of condescending MEN...the same men who presumably believe that “confidence is sexy”. AHHH It irritates me so much!!! How can you expect girls to be confident about themselves if you’re calling them ugly?? Trust me, when a girl gets called ugly, it stays with her forever…every time she looks in the mirror, she’ll think about it. So truly, it’s ridiculous to expect these same girls to all of a sudden be “confident”.
It’s alright I guess if you’re born beautiful like BENI or Leah Dizon… but seriously, most girls are insecure to some degree. I am probably one of the most insecure girls out there — does that make me unattractive? I don’t quite think so.
Being insecure does nobody any detriment but the person her/himself. So why the fuck does it matter of a girl in insecure or not? In fact, I’m glad I’m insecure; it gives me room to grow, a reason to try harder to be pretty. Imagine I was confident and thought I was the total shiz… and I just let myself think I was damn sexy with my ugly small mono-lid eyes, fat and ugly haircut. IMAGINE. My life would suck so much! Nobody would talk to me cos I’m so damn ugly. It’s a true story.
So why is there such a negative connotation behind being insecure? It bothers me to no end; I don’t particularly care if people talk shit about me about myself being insecure! I’ll boldly say, “yes, I’m damn insecure, SO WHAT? YOU THINK YOU SO BIG??” It just bothers me so much when *especially* men relate “confidence” with “attractiveness”. What is so unattractive about a girl who doesn’t feel beautiful, but is working her ass off to achieve her ideal body image? At least she’s working hard, unlike some girls who’re damn ugly because they are too “confident” to care about what they wear and how they present themselves.
Which brings me to another point which bothers me to no end. GIRLS who always say things like “ohh, i dunt care if im goin out in sweats w/no makeup on, i just tie up my hair n hate heels”….it’s like what? you’re proudof that? LOL It just means your a lazy fuck making excuses. I don’t mind girls who don’t like heels (many of my friends abhor heeled shoes), don’t wear makeup or dress up and whatnot (again, many of my friends are like that, and they are pretty just the way they are)….but the girls who go off about how they’re “secure enough” to be lazy like that And when they are so proud of it, while degrading us girls who maybe invest more time polishing our physical appearances? That’s when I get angry…like an angry bird. You often don’t see girls like me who’re more invested in appearing “pretty” talk shit about girls who tend to care less; we’re just like whatever, we like to dress up, but we don’t bother people who don’t share the same beliefs as us; those people on the other hand, somehow like to boast their “security” branding us who wear makeup and dress-up as being “insecure”, “fake”, “bimboic”, and even sluts?? So stupid, they should swallow some soap so that maybe their personalities can get cleaner haha.
Any who, I got kinda sidetracked near the end…but that’s the end of my rant. It just peeves me every time I hear a guy say something like “insecure girls are less attractive” or “confident girls are damn sexy”…like I just wanna snuff them in the face, tell them to kindlyshut the fuck up. And now you know why

I was honoured to be her model for the session, and it was mad fun working with her and my muffin. I haven’t done this in awhile, and was quite rusty on posing and whatnot, but she put up with my indecisiveness really nicely, and I think we both had a good time ^^

SO! Semester 2 in school has officially started like a month ago (ok la, like first week of February… haven’t blogged in FOREVER! My apologies ;__; )
So anyway, this semester one of my subjects is PHILOSOPHY and let me just say, that class is INTERESTING. Two days in a row, my teacher cracked a real egg in class, to show one of the theories stating that, since one has to go half-way before going full-way, and you have to go half-way infinity number of times, technically it is impossible to move… and yet an egg will still fall and crack if you throw it.
^I took that from my seat I’m serious, twice, and he did the same with his other classes, so like… 4 eggs gone to waste for PHILOSOPHY?? XD

Speaking of untimely deaths, this is not the only tragedy that has occurred in the philosophy classroom. Here’s the story of the Philosophy Mascot: Une Bunny
Day 1:
^That was the beginning of the Bunny. I found it on my desk randomly one morning, and got VERY excited. I asked my teacher about it, saying I love bunnies. He said “I drew that, knowing your love of bunnies” (tbh I feel like he may be trolling me, what do you think??) but yeah. I was extremely happy and tweeted about it even!
Day 2 and 3:
^THE BUNNY EVOLVED!! On day 2, I found that it had been changed. According to my teacher, it supports the theory that nothing is ever the same, and everything is in constant change. However, the bunny remained the same for day 3.
^To show my support for Bunster McBunion, I wore my Usamimi （ウさ耳）Bunny ears to school too! Met one of Mr. Leo’s friends that day though meow -.- Apparently I looked quite fob that day T_T fml fml fml
Must impress Mr. Leo friends meow :/
Anywho, after the weekend, Mr. Bunny had been erased. In fact, it was questionable whether he was even there in the first place at all. My friend Illy and I had a mini-funeral for the beloved “Philosophy Mascot” that was, Bunnister Bunbun as we mourned. We then proceeded to draw 2 cats as replacements, but the next day both were erased from existence as well.
I was sad.
But then valentines day came!
Mr. Leo and I weren’t quite planning anything — I didn’t expect anything from him, I was fine with that. I bought him some meiji strawberry chocolate, the apolo kind! Extra strawberry too!
Also bought him some cinnamon candy hearts that I was hoping we could eat together
Then I wrote him a card and a poem I incorporated pokemon into it!! XD I think he liked it ^^ He’s my Nidorino and I’m his Nidorina But he loves Charmander the best still! haha
I would share the poem but I feel like it might be quite private. Should have taken a pic of the little package I gave him but forgot — oh wells. Anywho, I was not expecting anything for V-day, since he said he wouldn’t really do anything. I was quite wrong!!
In my locker when I opened it for lunch, I found cookies and cream chocolate hershey kisses, a chocolate rose and a stuffed rose!! I was so surprised and happy!! As soon as I saw him I gave him the biggest hug ever!! <3

That night, we also spent time together too ^^ I went over to his place for a bit, and we slept. Then we went to go eat some viet Ate so much that night, felt so fat but felt happy anyway Thanks for Valentines day Baby!
And then there were some random events in the middle not quite worth mentioning on my blog…
And then came FAMILY DAY! A national (I think??) holiday, where everybody gets a day off (well not everybody, but almost) so that they can spend time with their families! (Good idea right?? People need more quality family time…) The day before there was some family drama, so we could not to Yum cha as I had wished; instead we went for a Greek dinner for family night Went to Mr. Greeks! So good, in fact I want to take Mr. Leo there one day.
I ordered myself an Original Souvlaki with chicken. As well we had some bread and calamari for appetizers! And we ordered an alcoholic beverage

Hellllooo! Today’s post is going to be about a Japanese eating place, cuisine, restaurant, all you can eatery, whatever you’d prefer to call such a place of foodery.
The title has 「物語」in it…because it means “Story” LOL Monogatari = story in Japanese Basically the story of us going to takara house to eat :3 mrow
So Mr. Leo and I decided to go on a lunch date at this Japanese all you can eat place. Yes, I know. “Kat, you’re on a diet but you’re eating buffet?? HORRIBLE EXAMPLE!” I know!! But le bf has a way of talking me into anything. Literally, anything (._.) nobody else can talk me into a buffet but him. He should feel special.
^Look at him feeling all special and stuff. -.- Lucky guy don’t know how lucky. Only one can make me eat with a smile on my face mrow LOL miracle worker much? :S
^Me, no make-up face and lion hair after exams mrow. Why Mr. Leo can look so pretty even tho just done exams??
Anyhow, we decided to go with the all you can eat $10.99+tax which includes anything on the lunch menu except the sashimi. I thought this was pretty decent for an all you can eat, considering it had everything. To be quite honest, in respects to the sashimi-less issue, just order the sushi version of it and leave the rice! I know, I know not so economical but still!
Here’s a bad picture of the menu. (Mr. Leo and I not used to restaurant blogging okay! what? We’ll get better if I start loosing weight LOL)
^Whatever, zoom if you really want to know everything on the menu! Haha it’s basically a typical Japanese menu with all the different rolls and whatnots. It also includes some “kitchen” items which are like tempura, fried stuff and meats.

^Another little iphone pic of the places interior ^^ Quite nice, although the lanterns words don’t quite match the restaurant (they say Ramen, but no ramen to be found on menu). Still, for a place that offers good, affordable food the atmosphere is nice. Kind of reminds me of a shady samurai sketch yakuza meetup place, actually. Except for the big windows that let everybody peer in, of course.

So we ordered, waited patiently for the food to arrive.
One thing about this place, while the female waitress is friendly…I can’t say the same for the male waiter. He was kind of very…unapproachable. Or..just something about him is kind of unfriendly. Perhaps it’s the fact that he NEVER CRACKS A SMILE and GIVES OFF THE AIR THAT HE HATES HIS JOB. Which to me is not acceptable in the consumer-targeted industry.

One covered with salmon tasttyyyy! 9/10 wtf

^Ton Katsu Mr. Leo likes apparently. I actually like too, but very fattening la. I give it a 7.5/10 though, because my mommy makes it better mrow. #japaneseproblems
^Some tempura. 7/10, shrimp very thin as my mother pointed out. Not bad though for a buffet.
^Chicken Teriyaki and Eel handroll. I actually liked the chicken teriyaki, not too heavy and gross (8/10). The eel hand roll was actually quite nice, good combination with avocado and all! (8/10).
Doesn’t seem like much from the photos, but we we’re quite full after that. My parents actually came joined us afterwards, so then we had to eat a bit some more, but not much different from what we oredi ordered.
In all, I think it’s quite nice to eat here. The food is definitely not bad, the service is okay and summore it’s affordable.
Pros:
-Affordable
- Tasty
-Rolls are not filled with rice like some other places
-They have nice azuki bean ice cream
-Wide variety to choose from
Cons:
-Service sometimes on the slower side
-The tea is sometimes lukewarm and faded, making it taste quite a la shitty
-Waiter doesn’t smile
-Claimed to open at 11, had to wait until 11:15 or something to enter. While it’s not a big deal it is important for eateries to adhere to their claimed opening times.
Overall: 8/10
I do recommend this place, I believe the variety of foods offered is great for the price, and the food is quite tasty. Perfect for students on a low budget who still want to fill themselves (although I don’t recommend ANYBODY to eat here daily…that’s just unhealthy). The pros outweigh the unimportant cons, as you can probably tell from the list above. I would definitely want to go again (provided it’s some special occasion and Mr. Leo somehow convinces me) and think it’s quite a nice place.

Soooooooooo….I’ve recently become quite into オバカワ…(Oba-kawa) fashion. I guess you could say it’s a trend? Granny-cute, frump-cute whatever I think it’s adooooorable!
So, one of my friends sold/gave me her oxford style shoes (I was VERY mad excite!!) and I tried them out today!! (With the clothes and thigh high socks like I want to wear them) I was sooo happy! I’ve been looking for oxford-style shoes with heels for awhile now, and it’s interesting because I see them everywhere in flat styles, but not heeled. When I finally got my hands on a pair, I nearly collapsed in happiness juice.
^Please ignore my cankles… T_T I’ve finally started working out again, so they should be gone in awhile…. teehee.
I was really contemplating what outfits would go well with these shoes. I know scholar-style and frump-kute style would probably look great with such cute shoes… so I tried putting together what I had in my closet and seeing what fit! I actually came across a lotta outfits, but only decided to take a pic of one.
WARNING: Please excuse the very amateurishness of my photos. I took them myself with self-timer and…it was my first time LOL. Next time I’m getting Mr. Leo to help me take them!! I swear he will become an expert photographer LOOL
^….ignore face please and thighs LOOL. Okay, I know you prob think this is a very plain outfit But I thought it was cute. Why? Let me list the factors:
1) The top is a cute oversized knit-style sweater that my grandfather in Japan bought me <3
2) I’m wearing thigh high socks. What’s not cute about that please?
3) The shoes are cute okay.
4) Bare legs even though it’s winter?? Plus some cute points and hard-working points there (yeah I know I don’t actually show my bare legs in the winter Canadian winters are TOOOO cold! Can’t be that vain)
And so, the kamhoing began! mrow.

Let’s add some random accessories to the outfit! Start of with fake glasses!! I don’t care if you think it’s lame that they don’t have lenses. Lol please don’t be jealous ’cause you can’t pull them off like I can mrow.

^I don’t really like this hat actually It’s too short and slips off my head and makes my head static-y! Not so nice, especially since I suffer from enough static from the knitted sweater….
And lastly… LETS ADD A SCARF!
^….is it just me or do I look like I have a batwing LOOOL FML! Thighs… Y U NO LOOK SKINNIER FROM THE SIDE ???
That’s it for today guys! It’s actually exam week and I took the time to do this…’cause I was bored LOL.
Gonna study with the boo tomo and Sunday though! So he better be prepared! haha
